Bridgeport Community Area is located on Chicago's near South-Side. The North and West borders follow the South Branch of the Chicago River from the Dan Ryan Expressway, around 725W and 2400S, West then South to the river's end at 1250W and 3838S; then moves to Pershing Rd (3900S) at 1220W. Other Community Areas that share this common boundary are McKinley Park Community Area, along the West, and Lower West Side Community Area, to the North. Pershing Rd (3900S) is the southern limit and stretches from 1220W, slightly West of Racine Ave, to Stewart Ave (400W) and is common to New City Community Area. The East border, shared with Armour Square Community Area, begins where the Dan Ryan Expressway crosses the river and snakes its way through the Stevenson and Dan Ryan Expressways to meet up with 25th Pl (2500S) and Wallace St (600W). Continue East on 25th St to Canal St (500W), South to 28th St (2800S), East to Stewart Ave (400W), and South to Pershing Rd.
