Burnside Community Area is the smallest of all Community Areas and is on Chicago's far South-Side. The West border begins where the Metra / Rock Island District Line crosses 87th St (8700S) at 1000E. The boundary follows the Metra Line South to 8900S where it continues South on Dauphin Rd (950S) just slightly West of the Metra Line. At 93rd St (9300S) the boundary resumes following the Metra to the 9450S coordinate where it moves West to Cottage Grove Ave (800E), then South to 95th St (9500S). The East limit is a diagonal line from 1200E on 87th St to 1500E 95th St and is common to Calumet Heights Community Area. The North boundary is 87th St from 1000E to 1200E and is shared with Chatham Community Area, also being the West neighbor. The South boundary, 95th St between 800E and 1500E, is common to Pullman Community Area.
