Map of Chicago Community Area 35 Douglas Douglas Community Area is on the Lake Michigan shoreline just South of Near South Side Community Area. This common northern border starts at the 150W coordinate on 26th St (2600S) and moves East to the lake. Shared with Armour Square Community Area, the West limit roughly follows the 100W coordinate and jumps between Federal, LaSalle, and Clark Streets down to Pershing Rd (3900S). The southern boundary, and neighboring Grand Boulevard Community Area, picks up from 100W on Pershing Rd heading East to Vincennes Ave (around 600E), NE to 35th St (3500S), then East to the lake. The last two sections, along Vincennes Ave and 35th St, are shared with Oakland Community Area.

Real estate statistics for Douglas Community Area in 2000 show 13,604 homes, of which 1,230 were classified as single family homes. The Median Home Sale Price in the Douglas Community Area for 2004 was $226,825.
